Post-Doctoral Position: Quantitative Historical and Demographic Research

The University of Colorado Population Center (CUPC) and the Institute of Behavioral Science (IBS) at the University of Colorado Boulder are recruiting a postdoctoral fellow with expertise in quantitative historical and demographic research, for an 18-month appointment, to start January 2020.

Candidates must have experience in quantitative methods, the use of computational, statistical or data scientific approaches applied to social science or interdisciplinary research settings, and data integration involving spatial and non-spatial data. They are expected to bring particular interest in interdisciplinary research and to participate in and develop future interdisciplinary projects. The candidate will work on a project about long-term change in small rural places in the United States, making use of a combination of public and restricted-use demographic, economic, and spatial data, much of it housed in the Rocky Mountain Research Data Center, one in a network of Federal Statistical Research Data Centers managed by the U.S. Bureau of the Census.
