Undergrad Student Assistant Position
The Institute of Behavioral Science has an opening for a student assistant position, 15-25 hours per week to start as soon as possible. Preference will be given to students who have work study awards, but non-work study students will be considered. The key summer project would be using the Library catalog system and EndNote to update an Institute wide bibliography database. The student assistant will be trained to use the programs/systems, but attention to detail is required, and students who have experience with research or writing are encouraged to apply. This position will also have the possibility to continue into the next school year (with hours closer to 10 hours/week).
Other general duties include, but are not limited to: Distributing mail, answering phones, setting up conference rooms, maintaining workroom (keeping it orderly and checking inventory), cleaning kitchens and conference room areas, acting as a courier for intra-campus deliveries/pickups, and assisting with Institute meetings and gatherings. We also have a number of researchers with long-term projects that require assistance. This has previously included tasks like processing survey results, categorizing data, and transcribing interviews. Minimum position hourly rate starts at $12/hour.
Must send a resume, a cover letter detailing your interest in the position, and availability (when you can start and weekly summer schedule availability) to Eileen Brown, firstname.lastname@example.org.
