Graduate and Postdoctoral Training

Program Description

Learn more about our co-facilitated Interdisciplinary Training in Social Science initiative and join our mailing list.

The Institute of Behavioral Science includes a vibrant community of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers who are training in interdisciplinary research. They do this as a complement to their training in their home discipline. Many students and postdocs are housed in the Institute building and work closely with their mentors on a daily basis.

Biographies of our students and postdocs can be found here, and you can read about the many grants and awards they have received. Potential employers should take a look at our students on the job market, and we have also included the job placements of our recent students.

Each semester we have a variety of events and groups targeting Institute graduate students and postdocs. Students who are interested in attending Institute of Behavioral Science events should contact Stefanie Mollborn to join our email list.

Feel free to contact Director of Graduate and Postdoctoral Training Stefanie Mollborn with questions.

Prospective Students

Graduate students and postdocs who affiliate with the Institute of Behavioral Science are not admitted through the institute, but are admitted through various social science-related departments and programs. For admissions materials, see the Departments of Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and the Environmental Studies Program.

Prospective students and postdocs who are visiting campus are welcome to schedule a tour of the Institute. Contact Director of Graduate and Postdoctoral Training Stefanie Mollborn to do so.
